Learning Set Up

Flipper can copy the IR infrared signal from your device remote into Flipper.  It will not copy Bluetooth or RF radio Frequency signals.

Place both remotes facing towards each other, about 2-3 inches apart. It can help to do this in low light.  

Choose the device you want to Copy, e.g., TV or STB:  TV controls Volume, Mute and On/Off; STB controls Channel, 0-9 and On/Off:

  1. Press and hold the Device button (e.g TV) and “ON/OFF” and for 3 seconds,

the red light turns solid and starts to flash, then release both buttons;

  1. Press and release the key on the Flipper remote control that your want to

program from your other remote, such as Channel Up, the red light turns solid;

  1. Press the button on your device 2 seconds and release, red light should start to flash again;
  2. Repeat from 1-3 for each button you want to copy;
  3. To Exit, press the Device button (i.g., TV)
