Many Dish STBs (Set-Top Boxes) are preset to enter Standby Mode after 4 hours. If you modify Flipper so that the On/Off button only controls the TV, you must disable Standby Mode on the Dish box.
How to Disable Standby Mode on Dish STB
1️⃣ Using your Dish remote, press Menu
2️⃣ Select Preferences
3️⃣ Go to Updates
4️⃣ Disable Standby Mode
✔ This prevents the box from shutting off after 4 hours.
✔ If Standby is enabled, you may need to manually wake up the Dish box using its original remote.
