Activating IR Mode on Dish Boxes

Some Dish set-top boxes (STBs) are set to work in RF (radio frequency) mode only, which means they won’t respond to Flipper or any other universal IR (infrared) remote.

To ensure Flipper works, you need to activate IR mode in the Dish box.

How to Activate IR Mode

Using a Dish remote:
1️⃣ Press Menu.
2️⃣ Navigate to:

• Settings → Remote Control → Activate IR.

Syncing Flipper After IR is Activated

Once IR is enabled, program Flipper using the usual Dish codes, such as:

• 2794
