It is vitally important to ensure that your loved one’s TV and Cable STB (if applicable) are correctly configured so that when powered on, they automatically go to the right input/source (e.g., Cable Box, Antenna, or Cable STB).
Where to Find These Settings
Most TVs have these options under:
- "Power"
- "Display"
- "Home Screen"
- Older TVs: "Input / Source"
A few newer Cable STBs (especially those running Google TV or Android TV) may also have similar settings.
Still others we can disable the Home Screen: Menu > Settings > Home Screen > Options > Disable

STBs
Some STBs now are "turning on" to the Home Screen. Those settings are likewise in the Box. Somce may not allow a default Input. In this case, modify Flipper so only the TV Turns on and off, then deactivate any 'standby' or 'power saver' in the box. Please see out article here: On/Off Settings
