Xfinity is usually code 3084 in Flipper V7 and above (version is on the back).
Xfinity is usually installed in RF (radio frequency). Flipper is an IR (infra red) remote.
First, we need to activate IR in Xfinity:
We know of two methods, but since they have multiple boxes, you may need to contact Xfnity:
1) Change setting in the box using their remote: Menu>Settings>Remote Control>Activate IR.
2) Other boxes require a set up code. On the Xfinity remote, look for a small "setup" button in the bottom left: press and hold Setup button until light green (about 5 seconds), then enter 987.
3) Assisted living facilities: their boxes should be IR. But they place their boxes in odd locations: on the wall behind the TV, attached to the back of the TV, or even in a corner or opposite wass. Since Flipper is an IR remote and requires direct line of sight, we need to use two options:
a) IR extenders: these are low cost items on Amazon and elsewhere that plug into the 3.5 mm plug on the back. Then place the IR "eye receiver" on the TV;
b) IR / RF Extender: there change Flipper's IR signal into RF so it can travel t the Xfinity box, then back again so it can control the box. One example is nextgen.us tho there are many others at Amazon and elsewhere.
